    President's Report

    Hello Charlotte NACE family!

The annual Tri-Chapter NACE retreat in March was a big hit as usual!  The three chapters (Triangle, Appalachian, and Charlotte) convened in Greenville, SC for two days of networking, team-building, and inspiration.  A big thank you to the Appalachian team who organized a wonderful retreat.  Plan to attend next year’s retreat which will be hosted right here in Charlotte!  If it’s anything like previous years it will be a weekend to remember!  Save the date in March 2018!

April’s program was hosted at the beautiful Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge.  The theme was Engage! 16 Sea Island:  Insights and Trends.  Several members who attended the conference led an evening of conversation with 3 Charlotte local businesses as they shared their experiences from Engage!  Engage! is a luxury wedding conference and we learned hot new tips, trends, and tricks in this lucrative industry.

May’s program will be Kentucky Derby themed at the Mint Museum Randolph.  Plan to attend and wear your best Derby hat and attire!  Our Programs team is hard at work planning a fun evening to recreate the famous Kentucky Derby atmosphere including refreshing cocktails, regional food, and a festive exciting atmosphere.  Register today at

For the May program, we want to encourage team building within your company, the industry and the NACE organization.

Assemble a team (or go solo if you dare!) and create a one-of-a-kind derby hat! Come up with a team name, a song and a walk for the runway to show off your design for a chance to win! You will be judged on Creativity-Walk-Overall Performance-Member Votes.

Voting proceeds will be donated to our 2017 community partner, CORE!

We can't wait to see everyone's creativity on the red carpet!
