Being able to meet in person in October was good for the soul. A huge thanks to our dear friends at the Grand Bohemian for hosting us in their lovely outdoor space. Does it get any better than spectacular views and infectious laughter? I think not.
We are excited to continue with in person meetings on November 6th at The Collector’s Room. As I mentioned in my note with the invite, with hosting an event indoors comes even more guidelines that we must follow very closely. I hope we are able to continue to be leaders in our industry and showcase just how well our hospitality friends can start to welcome back events. Our ability to bring more meetings, conventions, events, guests and visitors back to our venues and community is dependent on slowing the spread of the virus. With that said, I want to make sure we are protecting the venue and our organization by following the guidelines set by the Governor. Our November program will be indoors with a plated meal and a presentation by the lovely Reverend Rebecca Nagy. Guests will need to remain in their seats for the duration of the program and only take their mask off to eat. As a board we want to keep our members safe, our organization protected and respect the rules of our venues that are so gracious to host us. I can’t stress enough the important link between the health of our community and the health of our industry.
I know that with the Holidays coming up we are wanting to reunite with family and friends. The CDC has suggestions on their website on how to celebrate during COVID. The last few months have been stressful and isolating so I hope that you all can find time to connect with those you love, safely.
Be kind to each other, be strong for each other and be hopeful!
Registration for Monday's meeting closes today at 5pm! Attendance will be capped to align with social distancing capabilities.
